Worcester Ma. Firefighters Memorial 6K 06/14/2015
On Sunday June 14, 2015, the Worcester Ma. Fire Dept held their annual Worcester Firefighters 6K Memorial Road Race. Some 1,500 runners started on Salisbury Street at Institute Park.
The race is held in the memory of the seven Worcester Firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty since the tragic December 3, 1999 Worcester Cold Storage Fire.
Today's race also was declared "Celebrate Chief Gerry Dio Day", for 35 years of service with the last 15 as the Fire Chief.
Also featured is the Franklin Street Fire Station with the W-6 & FF Jon Davies Memorials.
