Whitman Ma. Fire Lt. Bob Hover's Retirement Ceremony 08/31/20
On Monday August 31, 2020, Whitman Ma, Fire Lt Bob Hover retired from Whitman Fire after a very dedicated 34 years of service. Lt Hover also served as the dept's training officer for many years, spending alot of time training the former call firefighters the dept had. Lt Hover had a very interesting last day as his last call was a 4 Alarm Fire in Brockton Ma. just before his retirement ceremony that was held at the Whitman Fire Station from 13:00hrs to 1600hrs.
Lt Hover was joined by family, friends, co-workers and retired members of the department along with many neighboring fire departments. Lt Hover was presented with several citations, a gold Lt retirement badge, flag, and a plaque from his members of Group 3. At the end of his ceremony, Whitman Fire gave Lt Hover his final ride home (check out the video at the end of the gallery).
I was fortunate to spend a good part of Lt Hover's last day documenting it and I would like to thank Lt Hover and Chief Grenno for that.
Congratulations Lt Hover and have a healthy happy retirement!
Note-First (3) photos were taken at Brockton Fire Station-2 while Engine-243 was covering and before responding to the fire on the 3rd Alarm.
