Fatal MVA Brockton Ma. 536 East Street 06/15/2018
On Friday Night at 19:22hrs. Brockton Ma Fire Dept Engine-4 and Brewster Ambulance CA-5 were dispatched to area of 536 East Street for a MVA. Brockton Fire Alarm notified Engine-4 and CA-5 en route that they were receiving 911 calls reporting entrapment. FAO advised that Squad-A, TSU-1, Ladder-1 and Car-56 along with Brewster Medic-1, FS-7 and CA-6 were also en route.
Upon arrival of Engine-4, they reported a head on crash with entrapment and the jaws were going to work. Upon Squad-A's arrival, they reported a "heavily entrapped victim" with agonal breathing.
Firefighters used (2) set of jaws to free the victim.
One victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries while the victim that was trapped was transported to Brockton hospital and then was transferred to BI Boston Hospital via Boston Medflight, were he died of his injuries. BPD had MSP photo recon team requested to the scene.
