W/F Manchester NH. 247 Patricia Lane 07/13/2016
On Wednesday around 11:55hrs. The Manchester NH. Fire Dept. responded to 247 Patricia Lane for a reported house fire.
Engine-10 was first due and reported smoke showing from a 1.5 story wood frame structure. Firefighters quickly knocked down a small fire in the house. Firefighters also rescued 15 dogs, 6 birds and a pig (located out back) from the house. District Chief requested the Manchester Animal Control Officer to the scene to assist. AMR Ambulance transported one occupant who had smoke inhalation to the hospital. One cat did perish in the fire.
It took firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
The outside temperature was 90 degrees during the fire and nice to see a resident who brought out ice and cold water for the firefighters.
Manchester NH Deputy Fire Marshal reported the origin of the fire was caused by a malfunctioning commercial pet dryer that was in use of the time of the fire.
