Fatal 2nd Alarm Manchester NH. 557 Pine Street 11/21/2016

On Monday Night around 20:45hrs. Manchester NH. Engine-11, Truck-1 and Car-1 were dispatched to 557 Pine Street for the fire alarm sounding. First due units reported smoke showing and a fire on the 3rd floor and Car-1 requested the box assignment be filled. Firefighters found an apartment fire on the 3rd floor of a large 3 story wood-frame OMD. Firefighters also found one occupant from the apartment with serious burns and assisted the victim to an AMR ALS unit. The victim was taken to Elliot Hospital and then flown by Dhart to a Boston hospital. Car-1, District Chief Michael requested a 2nd Alarm shortly after his arrival.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire while the building was searched and checked for fire extension.
Several weeks after the fire, the victim died from her injuries.
