2nd Alarm Manchester NH. 282 Dubuque Street 08/09/2016

On Tuesday Morning just around 08:30hrs. the Manchester NH. Fire Dept. responded to 282 Dubuque Street for reported smoke coming from the building.
First due Truck-6 reported smoke showing on arrival. Upon arrival of Car-1, the District Chief, he reported smoke showing from a large 3.5 story wood-frame OMD. Firefighters were told on arrival, all occupants were out and companies went to work. Firefighters found the fire on the 3rd floor and attic area and reported heavy heat and heavy smoke condition and requested the roof be opened up. Car-1 requested members to back down from the attic until the roof was opened, during that time, heavy smoke started to push from the attic eve area. Car-1 requested a 2nd Alarm, Truck-1 and Truck-6 opened the roof and firefighters stretched (2) hand lines to the 2nd and 3rd floor/attic area and quickly knocked down the fire.
The cause of the fire was reported to be electrical in nature and 11 people and several animals have been displaced by the fire.
No injuries were reported.
