Water Incident Merrimac River-Manchester NH 06/02/10
On Wednesday evening, Manchester NH Fire Dept. responded to the Merrimac River for a reported male who jump off the Bridge St bridge. Upon arrival, companies found a male on a former stone bridge foundation. Crews launched 2 boats down stream but had access problems going up the river due to being low (which are 1st page pics-taken at Granite St Bridge). As this was happening the District Chief requested a mutual aid boat from Bedford Fire respond to assist at the park below the Bridge St bridge. Manchester and Bedford Fire Dept's did a swift water rescue using the boat with two f/f's to get the victim and was brought to shore where he was packaged and transported by Rockingham EMS to CMC Hospital.
