4th Alarm Cambridge Ma. Box 853 73 Lexington Ave 12-9-08

On the morning of 12-9-08 during the morning rush hour, Cambridge struck 4 alarms for 3 buildings on fire at 73 Lexington Ave about 6 buildings down from Engine-9's Quarters. Heavy fire was showing on arrival of Eng-9 and it extended to 2 exposures. 3 firefighters received injuries fighting this fire. Cambridge Police Dept. closed the area off due to tight access and special thanks to Deputy Chief Gerry Mahoney for getting me access behind the police lines. And yes, the rush hour traffic was horrible, spent 30 minutes stuck in traffic on Fresh Pond Parkway while the 3rd alarm companies dropped feeders. Lets just say that I got plenty of walking photographing this fire.
